Weighted blanket love

A little over a year ago, my mom introduced me to the idea of weighted blankets. I’ve always struggled with sleeping, because my mind just doesn’t stop. And I can think of every possible situation I may or may not face at any point in my future. My mom quickly found a local company that makes weighted blankets. She was in contact with the owner and next thing I knew, I was going to pick a blanket up. It’s grey in colour and weighs 14 lbs. I had no idea how much this blanket would impact my life.

I can honestly say that this blanket is the best thing that has happened to me in regards to helping with my anxiety. It’s this wonderful feeling of being safe while under it. I recently went on a family vacation, and didn’t want to pack it in my suitcase…so I left it at home. A wonderful vacation out to Alberta and British Columbia for 2 weeks and I missed it so damn much. Yes, I missed a blanket. Otherwise I sleep with it every night. I find I don’t toss and turn as much as I used to and I actually feel my body relax when I’m curled up under it. It’s like the best hug you’ve ever gotten and it never ends. If I’m having a bad day, and my anxiety is high, I use it. If I’m having a good day, with little anxiety, I use it. I would take it with me every where if I could. I highly recommend getting a weighted blanket. And I can’t thank the lady who made mine enough!
